Finasteride 1mg

Finasteride 1 Mg has a mean bioavailability of 65% with a peak plasma concentration of 9.2ng/ml attained within 1-2 hours of intake. It has a half-life of around five to six hours in men, with the tissue binding taking 5-6 days, and is metabolized in the liver by Cytochrome P4503A4 enzyme and excreted through the kidneys in the form of urine and feces.; the medication needs to be taken daily to be effective. On discontinuing Finasteride’s use, the body’s active dose starts declining slowly until it is completely eliminated from the system. When there is no Finasteride in your system, the 5α-Reductase enzyme responsible for hair loss will no longer be blocked, and the hair loss process will restart in the individual.

Before the use of Finasteride 1 Mg

• It should not be used in women with hair loss problems
• Finasteride may not be effective for bitemporal recession or the condition of widow’s peak
• It may cause decreases in serum prostate-specific antigen or PSA which should be considered in males with cancer requiring PSA monitoring.
• It should be used for a minimum of three months to observe hair growth benefits
• The tablets need to be taken daily with or without food

After the use of Finasteride 1 Mg

• Get urgent medical help if you observe tenderness of breasts or discharge of nipples after the use of medications.
• Use it with water with or without food.
• Make sure you have the tablet at the same time every day
• Report any changes in breast tissue like lumps or enlargement

Rarely, the use of Finasteride 1 Mg can lead to Post Finasteride Syndrome, a condition associated with the use of Finasteride-based medications to treat male hair loss and pattern baldness. Post Finasteride Syndrome is rare in occurrence and constitutes a range of sexual, physical, and mental adverse reactions, including memory loss and other cognitive difficulties. Adverse cognitive effects in former finasteride users were also reported in clinical studies investigating the plausibility of 5-alpha reductase inhibitors with memory problems and attention difficulties. Slowed thought processes and mental cloudiness or brain fog were observed in most users. Clinical studies have postulated that finasteride, though a popular drug for treating prostate symptoms and male pattern hair loss, has the potential to cause alterations in the section of the brain responsible for long-term processing memory and emotional responses.

It starts to work very quickly after ingestion, but results may only be visible three or four months after using the drug. Several users have observed shedding hair in the first month of Finasteride use, which researchers have attributed to older hairs falling out mid-cycle and preparing for newer and healthier strands of hair. Some of users have reported experiencing increased hair shedding during the first couple of months of use. This initial shedding can last a few months but should stop after three to six months of medicine use. Efficacy was determined by scalp hair counts, patient self-assessment, investigator assessment and assessment of clinical photographs, and safety assessed by clinical and laboratory measurements and analysis of adverse reactions. All strengths of Finasteride 1mg demonstrated efficacy in treating hair loss, but Finasteride 1mg/day was the optimal dose and was identified as the ideal treatment method.
